Reza Ghafoorian is a medical doctor and a healthcare regulatory attorney. He founded G2Z Law Group, PLLC in 2012, focusing on serving individual professionals and practices. With over 15 years of experience as a health care attorney, he counsels clients in healthcare regulations such as antikickback statutes and Stark Law, HIPAA and HITECH statutes, and telemedicine/telehealth. Reza also represents clients in Certificate of Needs application processes, peer-review/hospital privilege proceedings related to medical staff privileges, and health care professional disciplinary hearings.

Reza has also over two decades of experience in representing clients in patent law, including over 7 years as an Examiner at the US Patent and Trademark Office in the biotechnology arts. As a patent attorney, Reza drafts and prosecutes domestic and international patent applications in the fields of biotechnology, medical devices, diagnostics, bioinformatics and software.
